I build web applications, backend services and payment systems. Based in Kuala Lumpur, with over 13 years of engineering experience, including three years working fully remotely for Curotec, a US company.

At Qashier, I lead backend and full-stack development work in a team spread across four countries. I work on merchant-facing applications and backend integrations, and led a migration from Google Cloud Run to Kubernetes to reduce cloud costs and give us more control over deployments.
Before that, I spent over three years working fully remotely from Malaysia for Curotec. I built client applications with Laravel and Vue, worked directly with clients on requirements, and helped resolve critical production issues.
I've also led five to six developers across more than ten projects. I like staying hands-on while taking responsibility for the technical work, from requirements through production support.

I led the migration of key services from Google Cloud Run to Kubernetes. The move reduced monthly cloud costs and gave the team more control over deployments. This sits alongside my work on merchant-facing applications and backend integrations.

Curotec
I built an asset-tracking system with Laravel, Vue/Nuxt.js and MySQL while working fully remotely from Malaysia. My role at Curotec also involved working directly with clients on requirements and critical production issues.

Yelo.my was a community and vehicle-management portal for car owners, with car clubs, news, insurance and road-tax renewal information, and service-center listings.
I was the sole developer. I designed the database and built the backend API and Vue frontend. The app supported real-time chat with Pusher, social sign-in, RSS feeds and tiered access permissions. I also made it available as a progressive web app.
Infinity.Money was a white-label payment gateway with loyalty points, redemptions and promo codes.
As the main engineer, I built the payment platform and its merchant integration tools. These included APIs with Lumen and Laravel, an Angular frontend, a popup checkout built with StencilJS, and a PHP Composer package. I also set up private Composer and NPM package repositories.
A mobile shopping app for FloorDepot, with a product catalog, shopping cart and payment gateway.
I built the API and mobile application. The Ionic app connected to a Lumen API on top of an existing e-commerce platform and supported push notifications.
e-Pay supplies digital products, mobile top-ups and bill-payment services to retailers across Malaysia.
I built most of the web application and the full mobile app. The system used Laravel, SOAP APIs, SFTP and payment gateway integrations, with scheduled jobs for background work. I also helped configure deployments and load balancing on AWS Elastic Beanstalk.
